Cardmembers simply provide personal information online and then submit fingerprint and iris images at a Clear enrollment location to complete a background check for Clear membership.

Terms and Conditions
In order to participate in this offer, you must be an American Express Corporate Cardmember in good standing and must pay for membership in Clear, which is offered by Verified Identity Pass, Inc. ("Verified"), with an American Express Credit or Charge Card. This offer is subject to the Clear Membership Agreement (which can be viewed at http://www.flyclear.com/enrollment/enroll_membership_agreement.html) and membership approval by the U.S. Transportation Security Administration ("TSA"). Upon approval for membership, your designated American Express Credit or Charge Card will be charged a combined amount consisting of both your Clear membership fee and a TSA security threat assessment fee. Please refer to http://www.flyclear.com/faq_payment.html#10 for the current TSA fee amount. If you are not approved for membership, your American Express Card will not be charged. If approved, you will receive a 14-month membership in Clear, with the first two months being free. Your membership will be set to automatically renew at the end of your initial membership period, in accordance with the Clear Membership Agreement, although you will have the opportunity to change this setting. Each renewal period will also be for 14 months, as long as: (a) you are an active American Express Corporate Cardmember; (b) Clear is offered by Verified; and (c) this benefit is offered to American Express Corporate Cardmembers. Should you cancel your Clear membership prior to the end of the first two months of either your initial membership period or a renewal period, your Clear card will be deactivated and you will receive a full credit to your card account for the Clear membership fee. Any cancellation following the first two months of any membership period will result in a pro-rated credit to your American Express Card account for the Clear membership fee. Note that the annual TSA security threat assessment fee will only be refunded if you cancel your Clear membership during the first two months of your initial membership period, not thereafter. This offer expires on October 24, 2010, but may be discontinued at any time and for any reason. This offer is non-transferable. Clear is operated by Verified and not by American Express.
