Liability Options

With the Corporate Card, your company is always protected from fraudulent or unauthorized charges. You select the level of liability for your Cardmembers and establish accountability for payment of charges.

Spending Controls

As a general rule, the American Express Corporate Card features no pre-set spending limit. Some companies choose to set limits to help control high-risk spending on the Corporate Card and enforce spending policies. Various spend controls are available, including:
  • Overall spending limits
  • Retail spending limits
  • Immediate suspension of charge privileges upon delinquency
  • Reduced cash access limits for Cardmembers enrolled in the Corporate Express Cash program

Our reporting tools will provide your company access to Corporate Card management information online, 24/7, in a secure, password-protected Web environment.

With our reports and data files you can:
  • Monitor policy compliance through Cardmember exception reports and supplier management reports
  • Manage Cardmember performance using delinquency history reports
  • Track expenses with industry spending summary reports
  • Forecast future spending based on historical expense rates using quarter-over-quarter or year-over-year benchmarks
