BUSINESS TRAVEL ACCIDENT INSURANCE
Every time you travel on business on a common carrier (plane, train, bus or ship) and charge your tickets to the American Express® Corporate Platinum Card, you’re automatically insured with up to $500,000 of accidental death and dismemberment insurance through our Travel Accident Insurance policy. If your company policy allows, use your Corporate Platinum Card to book tickets for your spouse or dependent children (under age 23) and they also will be covered automatically.

CAR RENTAL THEFT AND DAMAGE INSURANCE
When you fully charge a car rental to your American Express Corporate Platinum Card, and where allowed by law, you will be automatically covered by Car Rental Theft and Damage Insurance for damage or theft on many rental cars with a maximum value of up to $65,000 (CDN) (not available for employees of certain companies**). To take advantage of this protection you must decline the Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) or similar option offered to you by the car rental company and use your Corporate Platinum Card. There is no additional charge for this coverage and you save the daily LDW fee (usually $15-$23 per day) charged by the car rental company. Rental Period not to exceed 31 consecutive days, please refer to “Definitions” section of the Certificate of Insurance.

Please read your Certificate of Insurance carefully as it contains specific terms, limitations, conditions and exclusions that may affect your coverage.
**Car Rental Theft and Damage Insurance is not provided if your company has opted out of this coverage. To confirm whether you are eligible for this coverage please contact your program administrator.

FLIGHT AND BAGGAGE DELAY INSURANCE
When you fully charge your airline tickets to your American Express Corporate Platinum Card, you can receive up to $1,000 coverage for all reasonable and necessary hotel, motel or restaurant expenses when you are delayed or denied boarding for more than four hours. You can also receive up to $1,000 for all immediate daily necessary and reasonable emergency purchases, made within four days, for essential clothing and sundry items when your baggage on your outbound trip is delayed more than six hours.

HOTEL/MOTEL BURGLARY INSURANCE
If your hotel/motel room is burglarized, you are provided coverage up to $1,000 for the replacement of your personal items (excluding cash) as long as you use your American Express Corporate Platinum Card to book and fully pay for your hotel/motel accommodations. Please refer to the Certificates of Insurance for terms and conditions, restrictions and exclusions.

SUPPLEMENTAL LOST/STOLEN BAGGAGE INSURANCE
When you fully charge your airline tickets to your American Express Corporate Platinum Card, you are covered for loss or damage to your checked-in or carry-on baggage and personal effects while in transit, for up to a maximum of $1,000 per trip.

AUTOMATIC FLIGHT INSURANCE
For additional protection beyond the $500,000 Travel Accident Insurance that you receive automatically as a benefit of your Corporate Platinum Card membership, you have an opportunity to enroll for up to $1,000,000 in accidental death and dismemberment insurance protecting you each time you fly and charge your regularly scheduled airline tickets to your enrolled Corporate Platinum Card account.

GLOBAL ASSIST TRAVEL MEDICAL INSURANCE
Global Assist Travel Medical Insurance from Amex Canada Inc. picks up where your provincial health care plan leaves off for your out-of-province hospital and medical expenses. Comprehensive travel medical protection including unlimited emergency excess hospital and medical insurance, 24-hour world-wide emergency assistance, plus much more. Cardmember must be under the age of 75 to enroll.

It's like a virtual vault where you can record the numbers of your credit cards, bank cards, passports, birth certificates, licenses, health cards, insurance policies, and more. If your wallet is lost or stolen whether you are home or abroad, call an AMEX® InfoAssist representative immediately and he/she will notify your registered card issuers and ask them to block the cards from fraudulent use and request replacement cards wherever possible.
