USING YOUR CORPORATE CARD

The Corporate Card is a widely accepted method of payment, so you must treat it with the same care as you would handle cash.
PROCEDURES FOR MANAGING YOUR CARD
Please follow the simple procedures below to ensure maximum Card security and enjoy continued usage of the American Express® Corporate Card.

Corporate Card Renewal

The new Card becomes valid when the present Card expires, so please continue to use the present Card untill the end of the month shown as expiry date and then destroy it.
  • To maintain Card security, please sign the new Corporate Card immediately upon receipt.
  • New and subsequent Corporate Cards will always display the original date on which you became a Cardmember.
  • If your Corporate Card is worn or damaged, you can also receive a new Card, usually within two business days.
  • To request a new Card, simply call the 24 hour customer services helpline numbers.

Government Regulations

Please ensure that your American Express Corporate Card is used in accordance with the prevailing Exchange Control Guidelines issued by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) from time to time.
  • You can spend upto US$25,000 equivalent per trip for business travel and entertainment while traveling overseas.
  • In case you intend to spend more than the overall limit placed for overseas spending by RBI, you are required to seek prior approval of RBI.
  • In the unlikely case where the Corporate Card is used for charging personal expenses overseas, you are required, under the prevailing Exchange Control Guidelines issued by RBI,to get your passport endorsed by your authorized dealer.
  • Please do not make your Card payments for the INR Billed Corporate Card in foreign currency. Similarly, payment for US Dollar Billed Corporate Card needs to be made in US Dollars only.
  • Do not make any Card payments overseas for your INR Billed Corporate Card unless specifically permitted by RBI.
  • Please note that as per Government of India guidelines a Service Tax @ 12.36% (including Education Cess and Higher Education Cess) is applicable on fees and other service charges. The total amount shown in your statement towards these charges will include the Service Tax. However please note that the spends on your card do not attract any service tax.
