A study conducted by the McDonough Consulting Group (USA) showed that American Express data accuracy is 98%, compared to 66% for bankcards1.

As a result of our proprietary network, American Express has direct relationships not only with our Cardmembers and customers, but also with each merchant that accepts the Card. This enables us to maintain an extensive database of Cardmember, supplier, and point-of-sale data, which is used to provide a wealth of data to help you manage your procurement program more efficiently.
