If the business trip is paid for with the American Express Corporate Gold Card, business travel insurance cover as detailed below is included.
Medical Assistance and Expenses Cover - If there is an accident or an employee falls ill during the business trip, our Medical Assistance and Expenses Cover aims to minimise any inconvenience. The cover includes: seeing a doctor or other medical professional, being admitted to hospital, arranging and paying for your return home. Maximum cover €200,000.
Business Trip Cancellation Protection - Sometimes, cancelling a business trip or cutting it short is unavoidable. For example, if the trip is cut short as a result of illness, accident or certain other circumstances beyond your control, you will be reimbursed the travel costs incurred for you to return home. Maximum cover €4500.
Business Travel Baggage and Personal Possessions Insurance - Travellers are covered for theft, loss or damage to their luggage and personal possessions for the duration of the business trip. Maximum cover €5000.
Car Rental Insurance — Theft and Damage - This extensive car rental insurance cover gives travellers extra peace of mind when renting a car during a business trip. In the event of the rental vehicle being stolen or damaged, travellers are covered for any amounts for which they are liable under the terms of the rental agreement, up to a maximum of €75,000.
Business Travel Inconvenience Insurance - With the American Express Corporate Gold Card, travellers are automatically insured against travel inconvenience. In the case of delayed flights, missed connections and delayed or lost luggage, you will be reimbursed for meals and refreshments or the purchase of toiletries and essential clothing. Maximum amount €1500.
Business Travel Accident Insurance - Comprehensive foreign travel accident insurance, up to €350,000. The benefit amount is increased to a maximum of €500,000 if the accident occurs while you are using public transport.
